GOLF, Ill. – Edward Jones has partnered with the Western Golf Association to provide complimentary admission to golf fans attending the inaugural Evans Scholars Invitational at The Glen Club, in Glenview, Illinois, WGA officials announced today.

The 72-hole, Web.com Tour competition is set for Thursday, May 23, through Sunday, May 26. Free daily grounds admission for spectators will be offered compliments of Edward Jones on all four tournament days (see complete schedule below).

Golf fans planning to attend the Evans Scholars Invitational may register for their free tickets at www.esinvitational.com/2019-tickets. Those registering for tickets online also have the option of purchasing upgraded tickets to the 1899 Club, a premium spectator venue with food and drink included.

All proceeds from the four-day Evans Scholars Invitational will benefit the Evans Scholars Foundation, the event’s sole charitable beneficiary.

“We’re thankful to have Edward Jones partner with us in a decision to open the gates and allow fans to attend at no cost,” said Vince Pellegrino, WGA senior vice president of tournaments. “Our partnership will offer more Chicago area golf fans and their families the opportunity to see golf’s stars of tomorrow compete on a local stage.”

Since 1930, the Evans Scholars Program, one of golf’s leading charities, has sent more than 11,500 caddies from limited financial means to college on full housing and tuition scholarships. There are currently 985 Evans Scholars attending 18 universities nationwide, and the organization is growing at a record pace from coast to coast. Leaders are working toward a goal of sending 1,000 caddies to college by the year 2020, and growing corporate support will play an integral role in helping to reach that milestone.
